10 EFFECTIVE TIPS TO BEAT STRESS AT WORKPLACE



Hello readers!!

Today’s article is for my friends who are stressed out and are struggling to retain their energy levels during the course of the day at your workplace.

Our work life consumes 70% or more of our non-sleep time. Many of my buddies have been requesting me to share what I follow to beat the stress.

I am a firm believer that stress directly impacts our quality of performance, health and depletes our thinking ability. Ultimately it leaves one dissatisfied and discontent.
I struggled to escape from the clutches of stress due to work until I developed my own framework of actions which helped me to bail out of it.

Here I share some of them which are easy to adopt and quick to follow.


1)    Listen to your favourite song or music
Be it at your desk or in the restroom, just entangle those earphones and put them on. Tune in to your favourite music and feel the lightness it creates in your brain.  It sure peps u up in no time. I am sure no one is going to search for you if you are not seen around for 5mins. So just do it.



2)   A Dark Chocolate bite
This is my favourite tip and I know several of them including me who follow this. Do you know why it makes you feel happy. Chocolates releases neurotransmitters that have direct positive effects on human feelings and the critical one is phenyl ethylamine that creates a degree of excitement by racing up your pulse rate which keeps up your excitement levels.


3)   Share a gossip with your friends/colleagues
Getting up from your desk to share a gossip or a brief chit chat about something you like with your nearest friend or colleague will definitely help u.


4)    Search for a motivational quote
Google can offer you plethora of motivational quotes. Pick one and write it on your board or or post it as your status on a social platform or simply put it on a piece of paper. See the difference yourself.



5)   Call up someone and have a brief chat
Call your mom or dad or your sibling or friend just to say a hi and find out how they are doing. Make sure to say all is going great when they pose work related questions.




6)   Maintain TO DO LIST for the day with timelines
I am sure many of us do it but what we don’t follow is, review. Just keep reviewing on the status at the end of every hour or two.


7)   Read an article from editorial
Try reading an article from newspaper/e paper especially from the editorial. Complete the article for it not only diverts you from stress but also helps you to gain knowledge about something new. You feel great once you do this.


8)   Plan for your weekend
Chalking out a weekend plan and visualising it is an amazing way to give you instant relief.



9)   Note down a new recipe
Note down a new recipe. Order for the ingredients and try to cook yourself back home.



10)                       Last but not the least, please follow my blog J to give a new colour to your lifestyle.
